As the moonlight dims off this once starry skies
To start off the clock of the longest of nights
Overcast clouds boil and oceans they froze
Tidal waves collapse and lightning crashes up close
All around, the walls are silently breaking down
Closing down fast, nothing else makes a sound
Nothing else mattered in this storm of grand delusion
Stand alone together in a state of dazed confusion
The gentle last ebbing of the turbulent red tide
With one last chilling touch and one final sight
The great firmament hanging on the lowest rung sky
Where fading stars no longer collide but hide
Oh! When the freezing cold wind blows
A secret reason that only heaven knows
Never the day we won’t remember
For on this very day, it rained forever…
THE DAY IT RAINED FOREVER
